About the Artist:
Susan Adler George (Baltimore, Maryland) currently teaches Art, Drama and Dance at an after school program for inner city school students where she combines drama and art in the creation of original plays. George founded a woman-owned art gallery as well as developed and implemented art-centered educational and cultural programs throughout Baltimore. She paints, sculpts and is a published poet. Her works have been exhibited at galleries and museums regionally and is in private collections throughout the states as well as in Ireland. Her canvases are usually dominated with bold color and influenced by an infatuation with quirky spatial possibilities. George is currently working on a series on aging nudes with attitude, umbrellas and cigars, (Sculptural) and a series of paintings and masks done with make-up and acrylic.
